The Gift Nifty achieved a historic pinnacle in single-day trading activity on August 29, 2023. The total count of contracts traded soared to an unprecedented 336,535, amounting to a turnover of USD 12.98 billion (equivalent to Rs 1,07,267 crore).
The trading turnover on NSE IX has been on a rapid ascent since the full-scale launch of Gift Nifty on July 3, 2023. Ever since its inaugural day of full-fledged operations, Gift Nifty has seen an accumulative trading volume exceeding 2.94 million contracts, accompanied by a cumulative turnover of USD 113.73 billion.
NSE IX is an International multi assets exchange set up at GIFT City on June 5, 2017, and recognized by International Financial Services Centre Authority. NSE IX offers a diversified portfolio of products including Indian single stock derivatives, index derivatives, currency derivatives, depository receipts, commodity derivatives and global stocks.
The exchange provides a comprehensive range of primary market products including listing of equity shares, SPAC, REITs, InvITs, depository receipts, debt securities and ESG debt securities under the regulatory framework of IFSCA (Issuance and Listing of Securities) Regulations, 2021.
