The second medal event of the second competition day in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, finished on a high note, as Poland’s Aleksandra Miroslaw – the current women’s Speed world record holder – hit the finish pad at 6.42 seconds, taking first place in the qualification round.
Five more climbers went sub-7, and followed Miroslaw in the ranking: Aleksandra Kalucka, also of Poland, clocked 6.84; Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi of Indonesia finished with 6.86; Deng Lijuan of China had 6.88; Emma Hunt of the USA took fifth place with 6.90; and Natalia Kalucka finished with 6.95.

The IFSC World Cup Salt Lake City 2023 will continue tonight with two finals: the women’s Boulder one at 18:00, and the women’s Speed one at 20:00. Both will be live streamed on the //www.youtube.com/@sportclimbing/streams“>IFSC YouTube channel.
